CITY SOLICITORS HORIZONS
Established in 2015, City Solicitors Horizons (CSH) was founded by The City Solicitors Educational Trust (CSET) and The City of London Solicitors Company (CLSC). CSH is a three-year support programme aimed at improving access into the legal profession for first year undergraduates from low socioeconomic backgrounds. Each year 50 students interested in pursuing a career in commercial law are selected to join the programme. Chosen candidates will get a guaranteed week experience at their paired sponsor firm and are paired with at least one legal professional mentor. Candidates will also be invited to attend exclusive Insight Day’s and virtual events with our 17 sponsor firms. In 2021, CSH programme was highly commended at the prestigious Law Society Awards. and won the award for ‘Supporting The Industry, 26+ Employees’ at the 2022 Modern Law Awards.
3-YEAR SUPPORT PROGRAMME:
CLASSROOM AND ONE-TO-ONE TRAINING SESSIONS
Our training covers the full spectrum of legal career paths. It is designed to significantly improve your skills and equip you for your chosen law career.
MENTORING FROM LAWYERS AT LEADING SPONSOR FIRMS
Your mentors offer you regular face-to-face or Skype meetings and support you at critical times, e.g. making applications for vacation schemes and training contracts.
WORK EXPERIENCE PLACEMENTS
We provide you with excellent work experience placements with sponsor city law firms, in-house legal departments and various high profile legal organisations.
STUDENTS APPLYING FOR THE CSH PROGRAMME SHOULD:

Be in the first year of their degree course.
02/
Be committed to join the legal profession at this stage of their university course.
03/
Have a strong potential to succeed academically according to their university.
