ASSOCIATE PATHWAY

Alternatives Investment Fellowship is a rigorous training programme engaging 1st and 2nd year investment banking students, providing them with the skills and experiences necessary to prepare themselves for opportunities in the Alternatives sector.

SEO Alternatives Academy

The SEO Alternatives Academy is a series of curated workshops that propel you into careers in private equity, credit, hedge funds, real estate, and other buyside roles! Our goal is to change the face of the alternative investments industry for those who have been historically excluded from the sector by providing you with the tools and opportunities you need to succeed in this Industry.

 

What you get:

The Academy equips historically excluded investment banking analysts and related professional fields with the technical skills and the investing mindset they need to launch and sustain a successful career in alternative investments.

 

  • Virtual Large Group Workshops: Training sessions covering various asset classes in the alternatives such as private equity buy-out, hedge funds, credit, real estate, and more.

  • Hear from our alumni, network with industry professionals, and get access to case study trainings and preparation modules designed by partner firms.

  • Case studies are delivered to you by our partner firms, offering you an opportunity to directly interact with senior investment professionals and hiring managers.

  • Wall-street prep training sessions, designed to teach you the necessary skills for you break into the buy-side and succeed.

Can you apply?
 

The SEO Alternatives Academy is open to both SEO alumni and non-alumni.

 

To qualify for the Alternatives Academy, you should identify as someone from a low socio-mobility background historically excluded from the alternative investments sector in addition to one of the following:

 

  • A first, second, or third-year investment banking analyst, research analyst, sales and/or trading analyst, management consultant, or related professional field, in a full-time position.
     

  • A final year student with an offer for full-time work post-graduation as an investment banking analyst, research analyst, sales and/or trading analyst, management consultant, or related professional field.

The AIP Fellowship

The AIP Fellowship forms a bridge which allows young professionals at investment banks and consultancy firms to successfully pursue careers in the alternatives sector.

Why be a fellow?

​

Fellows receive in-depth exposure and hands-on development designed to help them learn more about successful career paths and practices within the alternatives industry. This includes:

  • Continued coaching and training in technical interview prep, LBO modelling, case studies delivered to you by SEO AIP Partner Firms, etc

 

The aim of the Fellowship is that 90% will succeed by receiving a buy-side offer.

 

Do you Qualify?

Fellows are:

  • First through third-year Investment Banking Analysts and Management Consultants

  • Both SEO alumni and non-alumni
